Isaiah 62:1-3
For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the
righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
2And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by
a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 3Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in
the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Those who have been made righteous, true Israel, will be glorified and honored in God’s plan,
they are the crown of creation. Righteousness always shines. Gives a new name signifying a new
life, a new creation
Isaiah 63:1-4
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his
apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
3I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread
them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my
garments, and I will stain all my raiment. 4For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the
year of my redeemed is come.

If you are not righteous, you get God’s judgment, His fury and anger will be poured out on all
unbelievers. You can be blessed or smashed by God’s righteousness
Isaiah 64:1,2
Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains
might flow down at thy presence, 2As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters
to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy
presence!

Believers desire God to come and show His power, righteous people want God’s righteousness
to triumph, they hunger and thirst after righteousness. so the nations will respond, but most won’
t, even Israel rebels, which is what drove God to the other nations:
Isaiah 65:1-5
I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said,
Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. 2I have spread out my
hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their
own thoughts; 3A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in
gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; 4Which remain among the graves, and lodge
in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a
smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

God desired to save Israel but they denied His advances, they were stuck in rebellion but
maintained self-righteousness and a holier than thouness. This annoys God and He will judge
accordingly. He will go to Gentiles and forsake them, they had their chance.
Isaiah 65:16-18
That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that
sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten,
and because they are hid from mine eyes. 17For, behold, I create new heavens and a new
earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18But be ye glad and
rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people
a joy.

Judgment is coming and will cause God to wipe out all that is this world as it is all tainted with
sin and has been highly annoying to God. He will create a new earth and no one will even
remember the things of this earth.
2 Corinthians 5:1,2--When God creates new, the old is forgotten in the new stuff’s glory
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of
God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this we groan, earnestly
desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

2 Corinthians 5:8-11
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with
the Lord. 9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing
therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I
trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Because we desire the new body more than this one, does not mean this body is worthless, we
can still do good in this body. We will stand before God to give an account of what we did in
this body, Paul knows the terror of the Lord, it changed him immediately when he saw it, he
begs us to do the same.
2 Corinthians 5:14-17
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were
all dead: 15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto
themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16Wherefore henceforth know
we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth
know we him no more. 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new.
